Elements of WoW

You can play WoW on PC via Mac, Windows, or Linux. The game allows you to play it for free for up to level 20, and then you need to buy its subscription.

You can start the game by selecting and creating your character by choosing from a variety of factions, races, and classes. After that, you decide the character’s name and start the game of defending the world of Azeroth.

Classes of WoW

There are many different game play options in WoW since each class has its own distinct feel and set of skills, you can choose anything that suits you best. Here are the 12 Classes of WoW that are available:

Demon Hunter

The Demon Hunters, who are half-elf and half-demon, have wings and the ability to double jump. They are real combat characters with two distinct specialisations, Havoc and Vengeance, that move rapidly and hit quickly.

Death Knight

Death Knights are a type of undead soldier that fights in close combat. They are enormous killing machines that move slowly but throw powerful hits. There are three specialisations of Death Knights: Blood, Unholy, and Frost.

Hunter

In the fantasy realm, hunters are the equal of rangers, trackers, and animal trainers. They are at ease in the natural elements, but unlike Druids, they utilise their own weapons to defeat opponents. Hunters also specialise in three different abilities, including Beastmaster, Marksmanship, and Survival.

Druid

Druids are one with Azeroth’s nature. These sages communicate with the earth and learn to change forms to meet their diverse requirements. They can heal, tank, and deal melee or ranged attacks. Druids are the ultimate hybrid class, featuring Guardian, Restoration, Balance, and Feral skills.

Mage

Mages are the masters of the arcane arts. Using their many specialties, including Frost, Fire, and Arcane, they cast spells and dispel evil everywhere they go.

Monk

Monks are skilled martial artists. With basic weapons like sticks, poles, or their own two fists, they can defeat their opponents. Some of their specialisations are Windwalker, Mistweaver, and Brewmaster. Battle.net balance card

Rogue

Rogues are criminals and robbers who operate in the shadows. Rogues are World of Warcraft’s assassins and spymasters, masters of stealth, traps, and poisons, with Assassination, Subtlety, and Outlaw skills. They are not seen or heard unless they choose to be.

Paladin

Paladins are holy warriors who use their weapons to harness their connection with the Light. They are strong, heavy-armored clerics who behave more like religious knights than barbarian warriors. Their specialties or skills are Holy, Retribution, and Protection.

Priest

With skills in Holy, Shadow, and Discipline, priests are dressed as holy wizards. Similar to Paladins, Priests also employ the Light for both defence and destruction.

Warlock

The environment surrounding a warlock is damaged by their use of unusual, dark magic. Affliction, Destruction, and Demonology are their areas of expertise. While summoning a huge army of demons for them to lead, they have the power to corrupt and destroy enemies.

Warrior

Every fantasy battle hero strives to be a warrior because they are classic, grizzled, and barbaric. Huge axes, massive armour, and spinning swords are all over the ability bars of warrior fighters. Their specialties are Protection, Fury, and Arms.

Shaman

Shamans depict the elemental aspects of druids. Druids converse with nature, whereas Shamans have control over the elements. Shamans have special abilities and talents in Enhancement, Restoration, and Elemental, which they use to create storms, use rain to heal, and use rocks to break things.

Factions in WoW

The two factions, Horde and Alliance, are associations of comrades, each with a unique leader. Sylvanas Windrunner, the unpopular Horde commander, is in opposition to Anduin Wrynn, the Alliance’s inexperienced and young king.

For Battle for Azeroth, choose the Horde if you want to be pushed into morally dubious situations and be a member of an extremely unstable faction. If you want a safe but boring group, pick Alliance.

Moreover, before the recent update in 2022 (9.2.5) of WoW, both of the factions were not allowed to unite and form a group to fight others, but now it’s possible for both factions to complete dungeons and raids together.

Races in WoW

The racial decision is loaded with qualifiers. Each side has its own set of races, and only particular races can play specific classes. You should always choose a faction and class before choosing a race.

The races in the Alliance faction include Dwarf, Gnome, Draenei, Human, Night Elf, Void Elf, Worgen, Lightforged Draenei, Kul Tiran, Dark Iron, Dwarf, and Mechagnome.

Whereas, the races in Horde faction include Goblin, Blood Elf, Orc, Tauren, Undead, Troll, Highmountain Tauren, Nightborne, Mag’har Orc, Zandalari Troll, and Valpera. Battle.net balance card

Guild

Players that share goals or playing styles form guilds. It’s like making a new group of automatic online friends. Your guildmates are the people who can group with you, build stuff for you, give you guidance and advice, lend you a little gold when you’re short on cash, and keep you company in guild chat as you progress through the levels.
