Tata Harrier Car

India’s second-largest car manufacturer, Tata Motors, has recently come out with its first ever SUV: The All-New Harrier. A successor to their aging Safari SUV line, new model has only been unveiled in Indian markets so far.

It will also compete against market leaders like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Mahindra XUV500. At present, there are no plans to launch it outside of India.

Let’s take a closer look at what makes it different and how much you can expect to pay for one once it does hit international markets. We’ll also discuss some of its competitors as well as when we might see it on sale here in India.

Technical Specifications

The engine capacity of Kryotec 2 L Turbocharged 170 PS BS6 Diesel Engine, four cylinder diesel is mated to a five-speed manual transmission that makes for better fuel efficiency and acceleration.

Performance figures put out by Tata include top speeds of around 160 kmph and a 0–100 kmph time of 10 seconds flat,

which are decent for a mid segment car but not stellar. The seats on offer in the cabin can accommodate up to five passengers; two at either end and three in an option middle row

— perfect for families. The petrol version does 155 kmph with a slightly improved acceleration time of 9 seconds flat for 100 kmph. Both engines come mated with an air conditioning unit as standard and cost more if you want it removed from your car’s build.
